Benefit of Red Clay

The Benefits of Clay Masks
A clay mask has many benefits. It stimulates and increases circulation, tightens sagging skin, refines enlarged pores, exfoliates by lifting dead skin cells and cleanses the skin like nothing else!  When applied to the skin the clay works itself into the pores and follicles. The clay binds itself to dirt and debris trapped in the pores. When the mask is removed the clay carries all this trapped debris with it leaving your pores clean and refreshed.

Instructions of Use:  Mix approximately 1 part clay to 2 – 3 parts water. Always add clay to the water – not water to the clay.  Start with 1T water and slowly add clay until your clay becomes a thick creamy paste. It is best to use a glass, pottery, or wooden bowl. Stir the mixture until it is a smooth paste and add more clay or liquid as needed. Apply approximately 1/8 inch thick layer of clay to the face or other areas and let it dry completely. Drying times vary, but times are generally 30 minutes. You will feel a pulling and tightening sensation due to deep pore cleansing. Remove clay by first patting face with warm water to saturate clay and then gently wipe face with a soft wash cloth using warm water. After clay is removed, pat face with cold water to seal pores.  A slight redness may appear after removing the clay. This is normal and will disappear in approximately 30 minutes. Clay helps to remove dirt and impurities from the pores of the skin. Clay can be used by the whole family, men and women.  *Note:  Clay may stain a light colored wash cloth.

Sea water is really good for nelaihg your skin. After going to the beach for the first time, I was amazed how much my face cleared up. I decided to try mixing sea salt and tap water, making it taste as close to seawater as I could. Then, splashed it on my face for about 3 minutes. I did it three times a day, and it worked really well for me. Always apply moisturizer afterward, so your skin doesn’t dry up. I don’t know if this works for many other people, but it works great for me when I have mild acne. You can buy sea salt at any grocery store.
